Two of London’s most hotly tipped jazz artists, both with a broad range of influences, Alfa Mist and Richard Spave join forces to deliver the 44th Move project, their debut self-titled EP via Black Acre. Sharing a lot of the same influences, the duo creates a cross-genre canvas where they freely explore hip hop, jazz, soul and broken beat aesthetics.

Works 44th Move began right after the pair met, with ideas flowing between Spaven and Mist’s identities. Drums and keys in perfect sync connected by the brilliant performance of Dan Gulino, invited to play in the EP. Takuya Kuroda’s trumpet is featured in “Hope”, a powerful theme rapped by Alfa Mist. Available on vinyl, through Black Acre.
