art of tones & chatobaron: flight of the comet
Flight of the Comet is the result of a fruitful collaboration between the acclaimed Art Of Tones project with jazz/funk band Chatobaron, led by Frank Chatona (from Cotonete). This record is the 1st studio EP from Frappé Records, a Parisian label, passionate about electronic music, in specific the special way French producers tend to interpret it. Comprised by 5 tracks, this is a highly special project for the label, coming from the heart of its founders Basile de Suresnes and Ten Fingerz, who have had the will to create this unique collaboration.
Recorded during a very intense studio session in Paris, Flight of the Comet blends dancefloor vibes with a crispy jazz funk studio sound. The identity of both parts is clear, with Art Of Tones’ approach being superbly complemented by top-quality studio musicians. Warm and soulful, this record sounds perfect in different moments of the day and Frappé celebrates it in the best possible way with a digital release and a limited edition vinyl pressing.
