ash lauryn: truth ep

See this content in the original post

Following the amazing collaborative Expressions EP, released earlier this year with Stefan Ringer, Ash Lauryn drops a 4-track dime entitled Truth. Composed by various degrees of tempos and flavours throughout the project, she leaves us craving for more of her productions. In Truth, Lauryn is truthful to the roots of black underground dance music, while providing a twist of contemporary textures. Ringer’s contribution as co-producer is, as usual, on point.

“Life is Back” is a breezy uplifting stepper to glide you smoothly into the night, with Lauryn's poignant vocals ringing throughout. The Kai Alcé Interpretation is a blissfully pleasant floor filler, providing new keys progression cascades and flows to the groove. It is a great remix from the master. The title-track sees Ash Lauryn speak from the heart, on a raw and hypnotic moment of ecstasy. Finishing off with “Dancin In The D”, we dive into darker soundscapes, with funky basslines and groovy vocals for late night moves. Truth EP is one of those EP’s that rotates endlessly.
