Bernardo Mota returns with a delicious 4-track EP rotating in some real deep house vibes. Following a hot streak of releases in the 2021-22 season, with projects dropping on labels like theBasement Discos, Tropical Disco, Miura Records or Lisztomania, he opens up 2023 with Away EP, a self-released work for the heads.

The cuts that compose Away EP pay homage to classic deep house sonic waves. While the title-track shuts the lights off for the party to begin, “Sometimes Works” brings a melancholic light masterfully wrapped by a introspective grooves. “Slow B” is built step by step. The textured elements provide a Detroit-y vibe to the track as it unfolds and progresses with no effort. Closing the record, “Excuse Moi” is our favorite from the bunch, speeding up on the 130 mark and providing that bittersweet enjoyment that we long for.
