Broken District is a French-label that has been exploring alternative music territories at the crossroads of jazz, house, hip hop, funk, soul and more experimental sounds. Back to their releases, and back to o sótão platform, they present Brokenbits, a series of digital-only releases featuring fresh productions from the label-affiliated talents.

The roster for the Vol. 1 includes Duktus, Jeppe Wolmer, Jus Jam and SofaTalk. On four tracks, for about twenty minutes, we are invited to travel through multiple fields, from hip hop, to house and electronica. As usual, this Broken District compilation is able to achieve a consistency, despite being created by different mindsets.
