About one year ago we started listening with more attention to the incredible output from Nicewon Recordings - a Minneapolis-based label featuring those unique NoCoast house sounds. The label is headed by Jeff Swiff and Christian James, whose fingerprints are all over the label’s very own brand of house music. Having dropped last week, Christian James’ new EP follows the spirit of its predecessors and is a delight for the funky, wonky, electronic music heads.

The Playa Barrigona EP is comprised by four original tracks and a deepslide remix by the mighty Last Nubian. Christian James moves freely into a conceptually free-form of house, where jazz and hip hop influences come alive.
