emile londonien: covered bridges

See this content in the original post

Emile Londonien are a Strasbourg-based trio, composed by Matthieu Drago (drums), Nils Boyny (Synth) and Théo Tritsch (bass). Via Dope Tone Records they just dropped a mesmerizing single/EP entitled Covered Bridges, that builds on the energies of SxB, released last year with support from the European Brokenbeat & Nujazz scene. Covered Bridges marks their return with a finely chiselled, inspired and groovy new sound that counts with a remix from yours truly Mark de Clive-Lowe.

We had the pleasure of premiering one of SxB’s remixes last year. This new track is faithful to their sonic trademark, blending textures from the vibrant London jazz scene with local influences and grooves. “Covered Bridges” is a monster of a track - the drums are unstoppable, the bass is vicious and the melodies are the perfect counterpoint, providing an aerial breeze. Mark de Clive-Lowe delivers a superb remix - swapping the syncopated groove of the track for a deep house & jazzy vision that only he has the secret to. Curated by our good friends at Dope Tones, Covered Bridges is available on Bandcamp.
