A self-taught artist, playing saxophone, producing, and engineering all the tracks himself, with help from a close group of friends, Hio achieves his very own style, mixing hip hop with the live instrumentation that supports the album sublimely.

Of Ethiopian descent, Hio was born and raised in Atlanta. Growing up listening to dirty-south, jazz and traditional Ethiopian music, Hio steps away from his immediate surroundings, filled with rap music, to develop his less conventional sound.
