Following up on Paradise Motel and Sunrise, and building on a stellar discography, the one and only Jay Sound invites us for the thrid ride of 2023 straght into his sonic vision with Sunset EP, a six track record that explores late 80s/early 90s jazz fusion & electronic textures. Once again the Detroit-blood-LA-based producer proves that he’s an artist running in his own lane, master groover exploring the coolness and the visual backdrop of an era that has been a recurrent theme in his magnificent work - taking us into Pacific coast car rides, to peaceful treks in Japanese mountains, and tasty West African rhythms.

Dusky sunfall beaches of late 80s/early 90s, humid dance floors, warm percussive rhythms and coconut & pineapple infused atmospheres. Sunset EP is another proof that Jay Sound is a guy with an entire universe inside him, continuing with his growth and development of his artistic prowess, both in composition and soundscapes. In his latest addition to this year’s series, Jay once again showcases his exceptional talent, with this piece capturing his artistic journey and progression.
