july '19: recap

See this content in the original post

July was the busiest month we ever had at o sótão. We went by through thirty one days dancing, vibing, thinking. Always discovering, sharing. There was too much music being released by the highest karat underground artists and labels, so hard choices had to be made. Selecting fifty plus tracks, in a month like this one, is an invitation for everyone reading to go deeper.

Similar bruk feelings on Dance Regular’s first compilation, on Bulawayo’s by Wheel Up, on EVM128’s Input Vol 1. Deeper tones on Seb Wildblood’s sketches of transition, on Daniel Maunick’s Sombra do Dragão, on Lenson Piquet’s debut. Involved by projects from the Sunny Side Up collective, Dom Bird, Myele Mazanza, Scrimshire and Ash Walker. Golden reissues… and legends of our time:
