(Liv).e has made significant waves in the last three years. Emerging as an elusive and nostalgic figure in Black music, she equally steps in both modern and throwback soul genres or subgenres. Recorded in the winter of 2018, Couldn’t Wait To Tell You… is her first LP and her strongest project to date - the one that could well be her breakthrough. Following ‘17 FRANK - that sounds like a lost classic from a bygone era of cosmic Afrocentric soul - and ‘18 ::hoopdreams:: - volleying between ’90s R&B, neo-soul, and trunk-rattling hip hop -, this album also looks to the past, while introducing a modern and exciting aesthetic.

Touching previous relationship and the emotions it conjured, the album doesn’t specifically focuses on any one theme. Instead, Couldn’t Wait To Tell You… feels like a diary with different entries painting different perspectives of the same, and complex, personality.
