middle name dance band: middle name dance tracks vol 2

See this content in the original post

Originating from the organic breed of club and jazz/soul communities boiling in Brisbane, the Middle Name Dance Band was intended as a one-off EP project. The success of both Middle Name Dance Tracks Vol. 1 and the band’s first live show saw further show requests, plus a tour through Australia in 2019. The Middle Name Dance Tracks Vol. 2 was bound to happen and now it’s here, dropping this week via Middle Name Records - broadening the dance tempos and grooves from Brazilian & house to mid-tempo boogie & slow jams.

As a three-piece collaboration between Sampology, Megan Christensen & Sam Stosuur on MPC, keys and bass respectively, the Middle Name Dance Band jams in the blurred lines between live and club vibes, equally indebted to jazz as to electronic music. Together they deliver an array of diverse and joyful events for both artists and avid music fans. Middle Name Dance Tracks Vol. 2 warms up our weather and is available on vinyl.
