Otis and Dundiff are both from Louisville, Kentucky. Cool is their second album, following up 2017’s Hemispheres. Sometimes musicians take their time to find a formula, to carve out a way in which they create. Not these two. A creative connection was instantly born. The concept for album is painted by from Dundiff presenting Otis broad ideas - the themes and instrumentals. Otis defined them further through his own perspective - the lyrics and melodies. 

Dundiff's organic productions compliment Otis Junior soulful timbre perfectly. Cool is built around live instruments with glimpses of smooth sample choices, giving it a soulful aura. When the duo approached the album production they established an ongoing theme for it. On this project they embraced the concept of “Cool” and the ideas about what it means to “be cool” to others versus actually feeling cool, calm, and comfortable in life. As we enjoy the album, we lean towards the latter.
