Linking back to Otis Sandsjö’s previous work, Y-OTIS 2, released by We Jazz, is an inviting and inspiring audio mosaic whose rhythmic approach is informed as much by hip hop and electronica as by jazz. The Berlin-based Swedish saxophonist, and his close collaborator bassist/producer Petter Eldh, explore a genre-bending, forward-looking "liquid jazz" of tomorrow, including an infinite number of details into this new project.

Y-OTIS 2 is an exploration effort, balancing ideas in a complex, but harmonious, sound identity. Its nature, delivering micro-sounds and harmonies, fuses a minimalist electronica in the background as the main elements played by Sandsjö and Eldh roam free. Everything is in place.
