Tomorrow’s Where I’m At is Pinty’s third EP, dropping officially in a few hours, via Winged Feet. It’s another essential record hailing from the South London music scene, reaffirming Pinty as one of its most important voices. Following Midnight Moods and City Limits (with the important collaboration of King Krule and Maxwell Owin), we listen to his unmistakable voice portraying the suburban and dark pace of the city. And he does it like no one else, accompanied by incredible music production by friend and collaborator Tomos to transmit a honest and vibrating piece.
Marrying house music a MC culture, Pinty's eloquent flow side-steps the club scene and now proffers a newfound lyrical frankness and honesty, balancing themes of grief and loss with the backdrop of London’s effervescent pulse. Tomorrow’s Where I’m At bounces hard tonight with the fast-moving and hard-hitting “Another Lost Soul’” the spaced-out yearnings of “Found It” and the languid stylings of “Comfort Me”, which features musical polymath Emma-Jean Thackray on trumpet. “Red Lorry (I’m Sorry)” is already one of our tracks for this summer.
