Four years ago we were introduced to S. Fidelity. At the time he was releasing his debut A Safe Place to Be Naked, via Jakarta Records. Since then we’ve been following his creative output closely, including the impressive Bluestaeb & S. Fidelity present Underground Canopy from last year. The Berlin-based producer has showcased a smooth progression in his art form, having working and recording in London, Los Angeles, Paris and Johannesburg, while building up his Manolo Purple Studios in Berlin with longtime collaborator, label mate and soul brother Bluestaeb. Now he returns to our features as one of our favorite producers, dropping a brand new solo album, Fidelity Radio Club, that comes out tomorrow with the curation of Jakarta, once again.

Fidelity Radio Club is a concept album, shaped in form of a genre crossing radio show exploring hip hop, r&b, jazz, house and funk in all their depths. S. Fidelity delivers a work that he envisioned and carefully crafted with the help of 17 different friend-artists from all over the world. We’re talking about real talent like Bluestaeb, Melodiesinfonie, Suff Daddy, K, Le Maestro or Àbáse, that are brought together by a maestro on the top of his producing skills. S. Fidelity turns on a live radio show of smooth productions, delivering his very own trademark sonic signature. The blend of different influences is masterfully obtained in Fidelity Radio Club, easily navigating genres that are glued together by the same ethos.

The album comes with a visual treatment by hip hop’s favourite photographer Robert Winter and his team (The Ottos), matching sound and artwork accordingly while the record’s amazing and unique artwork comes from the Swiss based creative studio HOMI. The inspiring campaign for this album included live streams, the “Fidelity Radio Show”, hosted by S. Fidelity himself, sitting down with his featured guests talking about the music they love and they draw inspiration from. Fidelity Radio Club, dropping tomorrow via Jakarta Records, is filled with a music and a concept that make it one of the best releases for 2021. Available in vinyl for the collectors.
