Megatronic and Edseven pair up with Feedasoul Records share new their duo project, SMTHNG SMTIME. Presenting Geographic, that just dropped last friday in the Lebanese imprint, they invite an array of talented guests to draw on their combined UK and Australian influences, over a broad musical spectrum, ranging from jazz and soul, to deep house and broken beat.

Geographic kicks off with “Morning Love”, featuring spoken words by Arafa Almughairi and instrumentation by Guilhem Fraisse. The track is shaped around a proper deep house rhythm section and movement-inducing percussion, with Arafa's vocals taking center-stage. “New Soul Interlude Part 1”, that later connects to its 2nd part, is a beautiful example of their London and Sydney influences, where jazz meets broken Beat. Title track “Geographic” is a deep house-forward cut with original vocals, layered on top of a driving rhythm and horn section. Again, they delve into contemporary afro-jazz textures, revamped in a urban style. “Bad Braids” kicks with power, providing a moment for the club heads. Drum-heavy base, rolling bassline and flaring hi-hats driving swanky vocal cuts. “Morning”, featuring an intricate instrumentation by Exclusive Yossif, is a groovy and melancholic end to the EP, while a soothing conversation that Andrea is having with us takes place… Available on bandcamp, Geographic is a top class record that is able to conjugate a lot of different influences.
