Launched in 2022, Explorare is an ever-evolving ensemble led by Tommaso Cappellato and composed by some of LA’s finest jazz virtuosos. Their self-titled debut drops tomorrow, on the homonymous record label Explorare, featuring pianist Diego Gaeta and bassist Tony Martin. The record follows Cappellato’s amazing work with Collettivo Imaginario and with his Domanda Music imprint, which has solidified his status as one of the figures in global jazz.

Explorare is comprised by seven tracks that respect the group’s ethos - delving into rich musical landscape through improvisational performances, where persistent grooves are shaped by the unique vibes of the individual members in the present moment. That comes alive in the record, with the album feeling more than just a musical project - it embodies the spirit of musical community through a transformative journey that invites listeners to delve into the depths of sonic exploration, guided by carefully crafted energy and passion.
