tooli: tompkins square park ep

See this content in the original post

Inspired by and dedicated to Tompkins Square Park, in New York City, Omena label boss Tooli delivers three tracks rotating on deep house and nu jazz themes. The Swedish producer, responsible for curating the release of over thirty records in the past five years on his own imprint, achieves a vibrating and consistent project, deeply influenced by jazz elements, so present in his Tompkins Square Park EP.

The delicate and laid back feeling of the title track is able to take us there, to East Village, NYC, on an autumn day. A live percussion ensemble breaks through and huge double bass waves emerge on the scene organically. We’re taken into a trip of supreme musical touches, balancing emotions with just enough urgency to groove. Two of the UK's unsung heroes, NY*AK and Mark Hand, transform the title track into a Theo Parrish-indebted 15 minute journey with plenty twists and turns. Available since later April, the vinyl edition is now available to be purchased.
