Showcasing how diverse and exciting the French electronic scene is, reinventing itself over the years with new names popping up everywhere, the reputable Pont Neuf Records presents another strong compilation that commemorates the label’s sixth birthday. Hexagonal Club Vol. 3 is composed by 16 tracks including special offerings by the likes of Groove Boys Project, Tour Maubourg, Oden & Fatzo, Cosmonection, Vitess, KX9000, THEOS and many more. After six years of existence, the french imprint has been a stronghold in encouraging the emergence of France’s burgeoning electronic community - that goes back to include early productions from Sweely and Folamour -, once again revelead in this new compilation.

With the ethos of freezing this scene in a moment, Hexagonal Club Vol. 3 follows the steps of its predecessors and introduces/cements the works of a very talented cast of producers and music entrepreneurs. Groove Boys Project boast one of the best recording studios in Paris; Flabaire founded the world-famous D.KO Records; Tour-Maubourg, the spearhead of the Parisian label, treated us with one of the most exquisite albums of this new decade with Paradis Artificiels; KX9000 released a beautiful EP on Pont Neuf last summer; Maoke and Mira Ló have been at the forefront of France’s underground for months now; THEOS just landed on iconic Bristol imprint Shall Not Fade, with a debut Pont Neuf EP in the pipeline; and Oden & Fatzo have captured the sound of the era with the anthemic Lauren. and its millions streams. Berzingue has been a part of the label since it’s earliest beginnings, releasing his maiden solo EP Quitter Paname last February; Cosmonection’s debut album Hidden Places was warmly welcomed and acclaimed; Saudade is now fully part of the new underground minimal / micro-house scene, landing productions on Brawther’s Negentropy of late; Fasme just debuted on Feel My Bicep, the globally-known imprint of UK stalwarts BICEP; and rounding off proceedings is Vitess, whose recently launched Retrofutura Records follows on from EPs on Shall Not Fade.

This space is, also in its ethos, dedicated to labels, artists and projects like this. But we put our deep admiration for the work of Pont Neuf aside, freeing ourselves of any tendency, and we enjoy one of the best compilations of electronic music released in past two to three years.
