Every CoOp Presents release turns on the lights at o sótão. Dropping today, the London crew (more of an institution) unleashes a hot EP for the cold months, welcoming Danvers (50% of Kassian) and his flair for eclectic bruk boogie. Light Movements flows in soulful themes, stripped-down affairs, nasty bass-lines and deeper jazzy vibes across its 4 tracks.
Joe Danvers has been building a diverse catalogue of dance music over the past several years, including releases on FINA Records, Boogie Cafe and Wotnot. Aside from his solo efforts, the Kassian project produced a series of highly-acclaimed EP’s and remixes. These various, and eclectic, projects make Danvers one of the producers to keep under the radar. Light Movements, available on vinyl, might be the prelude for other precious releases coming in 2020, both from Danvers and CoOp Presents - standardly essential business.
