Newly arrived to some of the best music stores around the world, Detroit Swindle present High Life. The album explores stripped back soul and groove driven house over ten shining productions. Featured on the album are some very successful collaborations - with British singer/songwriter Tom Misch, a deep workout with the vocals of trained gospel singer turned house Seven Davis, Jr. Lorenz Rhode, who accompanies the duo for their live shows, on the title track and the collective Jungle By Night in the fantastic "Call of the Wild".
High Life is the second LP from the Amsterdam-based duo composed of Lars Dales and Maarten Smeets. It follows 2014's Boxed Out. Dales and Smeets describe the new album as "a combination of our love for house, ambient and jazzy harmonics". After putting out their debut LP via Dirt Crew Recordings, they'll give it a home at their own label Heist Recordings.
