After a series of initial releases in 2021 and 2022, the Paris-based producer and DJ Maison Blanche is back with a brand-new four-track EP titled Food For Soul, reflecting his deep, soulful, and classic house influences and poised to solidify his status as a rising star in the electronic music scene. Released by Pont Neuf Records, Food For Soul delivers a diverse sonic experience, weaving through various influences that are very well expressed by the French artist.
The EP's lead track, “You're Gonna Like It”, is a danceable, solar, and organic composition, capturing the essence of open-air parties and summer raves. Collaborating with musician Jim Prunier, Maison Blanche crafts a groovy atmosphere that perfectly embodies golden hour moments. “I Needed”, a collaboration with Tour-Maubourg, pays homage to the soulful house classics of New York and Chicago with Afro-inspired percussions. “Dexter on The Dancefloor”, the EP's first single, delves into Maison Blanche's love for disco loops and energetic house edits, drawing inspiration from iconic tracks of the '90s and 2000s. The EP concludes with ”Do You Like Jazz”, a playful collaboration with producer Cywil, exploring jazz-infused deep house rhythms and melodies.
