Based in Stockholm, Omena Records has presented to the public some of the best underground projects of electronic music. This time around they travel south of the Mediterranean Sea, with antique maps and compass in hand, for the release of Parviz's Zerzura EP.
Zerzura is an expedition to the eponymous mythical oasis, west of the Nile river, with warm nights being born and misty mornings on the horizon. It’s composed by four songs of romance and reverie, taking you through a dizzying jazz journey, full of twists and turns; starting with emboldened trumpets, only to end on a handful of quaint piano notes. Available on vinyl, Zerzura EP is a soul-searching piece, as the mirage vanishes.
