Following the conscious experience Ignite provided last year, The Sultan’s Swing is back with a new album that is a deep and cosmic journey borne from personal struggle amidst the recent events around the globe - Matter of Urgency is sonically influenced by the explorations of Lonnie Liston Smith, Softmachine or Ravi Shankar.
Comprised by five intricate compositions Matter of Urgency is a completely improvised organic, yet sophisticated voyage. Drawing inspiration from the spiritual and cosmic jazz from other eras the album takes a more contemporary approach merging U.K. urban sounds with spoken words appearing in the title track.
