The 19 year old THEOS blows up in here, scoring Shall Not Fade’s new Killer Cuts series that focuses on no-filler dancefloor oriented house music. We Miss The Crowd EP is a club-craving record comprised with seven bombastic tracks that feature collabs from Denyl Brook, Cosmonection and Romeo Louisa. Following a year completely dedicated to music, THEOS has released some high-karat loose tracks, making this EP something that we were expecting with excitement.
We Miss The Crowd opens up with unstoppable basslines and disco guitar samples to get hips moving. The rhythm never stops, as funky grooves and pulsing kicks evoke a nod to the deep tech sound of UK house music. There’s a heaviness and an acidity in this EP that is masterfully blended with soulful chords and vocals to make it one of the best party records we’ve listened in a while.
